The skin condition that can lead to heart troubles

If you’ve got psoriasis, you might think there’s not much worse out there.

You could crawl into a nest of fire ants and sleep like a baby… because nothing they do to your skin could possibly beat the burning, itching, peeling, and flat-out pain of psoriasis.

Well, my friend, I’ve got some bad news for you today — because it turns out it CAN get worse.

Don’t worry; I’m not going to leave you high and dry. I’m going to share the simple secret to easing your psoriasis and slashing this newly uncovered risk in just a moment.

But first, a new study reveals a terrifying risk that every psoriasis patient needs to be aware of — because it confirms that this painful condition isn’t just skin deep.

It does damage INSIDE your body, too.

It’s like Medusa when it comes to your arteries… because the new study finds psoriasis can practically turn them into stone.

Folks who have psoriasis are up to 500 percent more likely to have the calcium buildups in the arteries that cause them to harden, leading to atherosclerosis

The risk is so big that the study finds it’s almost identical to what you might face if you have diabetes — and as I’m sure you know all too well, diabetes is a stone cold killer.

The reason seems to be the one thing these two conditions have in common: the invisible damage that takes place inside the body.

Both diabetes and psoriasis cause inflammation levels to skyrocket, and that inflammation is what causes your arteries to turn into calcium-catchers. As the calcium sticks and builds up, the arteries stiffen up… and you face big-time risks, including the very real possibility you could become a stiff yourself.

If you have psoriasis, though, don’t panic. Panic never does anyone any good anyway.

First, having psoriasis is no guarantee your arteries will go sour on you. At least half the folks with the condition in the new study had perfectly normal arteries.

And second, while there’s no cure for psoriasis, you can certainly get it under control — and that’ll cut those inflammation levels and make it even less likely your arteries will go south on you.

One of the best ways to do that is with licorice. I don’t mean licorice candy, because that junk will turn your arteries into Twizzlers and guarantee some problems.

Plain old licorice root is a natural inflammation fighter and is available as a gel or lotion that can give you some quick relief when applied to the skin and is especially helpful for psoriasis patients.
