The proven power of natural pain relief

The proven power of natural pain relief

You and just about everyone you know have probably taken acetaminophen hundreds of times without thinking twice. But next time you think about reaching for that pill bottle, think again.

A shocking new study revealed that the “a few pills here, a few pills there” strategy to beating pain could put you six feet under before you even know what hit you. That’s tragic enough by itself——but it’s even worse when you know that there are safe, natural alternatives to conquering pain.

I’ll tell you all about my favorite one, but first, you need to hear about the important study just published in the British Journal of Pharmacology. It might just save your life.

The deadly truth about the world’s most popular painkiller

It amazes me that the promise of pain relief so easily obscures the facts about this drug.

Like the FACT that acetaminophen overdose is the leading cause of acute liver failure… The FACT that it leads to 26,000 hospitalizations every year… The FACT that it kills almost 500 people per year.

And now, the FACT that taking just a little too much acetaminophen over time can be deadly——more deadly, in fact, than a single, massive overdose.

When researchers from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland followed 663 hospital patients who suffered from acetaminophen overdose between 1992 and 2008, they found that 37 percent of the people who took a staggered overdose kicked the bucket, vs. 28 percent who took a single, massive overdose.

Dr. Kenneth Simpson, the lead author of the study, said, “They haven’t taken the sort of single-moment, one-off massive overdose taken by people who try to commit suicide, but over time the damage builds up, and the effect can be fatal” [emphasis mine].

If that’s not frightening enough, consider this: Acetaminophen is in practically everything——from OTC painkillers like Tylenol to common cold and flu meds, not to mention prescription narcotics such as Vicodin and Percocet.

That makes it frighteningly easy to OD on acetaminophen and never know it——not until you wake up in the hospital (if you ever wake up at all).

Why risk accidental overdose, liver damage, kidney damage, and brain damage for temporary pain relief, when there’s a safer, natural alternative that offers…

FAST pain relief——right when you need it most

Arthritis, sprains, strains, bruises… they’re no match for the pain-relieving properties found in DMSO.

Like so many of Nature’s wonders, this one was run underground by those who were threatened by it. But I won’t get into the details of why this “underground miracle drug” isn’t a top-selling pain-relief product. I’ll just tell you how it works——and why you should never be caught without it.

DMSO (dimethyl sulfoxide) is an organic substance found in the woody part of trees, and it’s been shown to be safe and effective in more than 1,200 scientific publications.

DMSO’s claim to fame——and key to success, I might add——is that it penetrates the skin quickly, and without causing any damage. It has analgesic properties that reduce pain nearly on contact——which makes it the perfect pick for rubbing sore muscles and joints right at the source of the pain.

Lab studies suggest that it eliminates pain by blocking peripheral nerve C fibers. As an antioxidant, it neutralizes free radicals that cause inflammation (and the pain that results from it), and it also eases swelling (and the pain that results from it).

But besides being a powerful pain-reliever all by itself, DMSO’s most outstanding trait is that it can dissolve and transport substances safely through the skin. So if you take DMSO, and add in a few other proven cures——like menthol (Nature’s proven arthritis pain cooler) and MSM (known as the “miracle molecule” for healthy joints)——it becomes a pain-relieving transporter system that no other pill, lotion, or cream can touch.

50 years of pain-relief…and still going strong

I’ve been an advocate of DMSO for 50 years. I even co-authored a book back on this “underground legend” back in the 70s——just a few years after the first exciting studies were published…and just a few years before the mainstream’s smear campaign that forced it out of the spotlight.

In fact, at that time, a group I was part of in Florida set up a company that sold DMSO, and it was fully approved by the state of Florida. Suddenly, we were raided by Florida government thugs, and a small fortune in equipment was seized, and we were closed down. No explanation was ever given. (Fascism, anyone?)

But that was then, and this is now. And even though I don’t have my own DMSO product, I still believe just as strongly that DMSO is the most powerful topical pain reliever on the market.

If you’re battling pain——back pain, arthritis, joint pain, neck pain, knee pain, or other localized pain problems——here’s a handful of DMSO products I recommend…
