Is your “health food diet” making you sick?
Something is wrong with the inmates at the Illinois Department of Corrections. Terribly wrong. They’re reporting symptoms of heart arrhythmias, infections, hair loss, and allergies. A few have had to have portions of their colon removed, and one had to be put on a pacemaker.
It didn’t take too much digging to find out why so many of them are so sick. Turns out their food is being poisoned. In fact, the FDA lists over 200 studies showing how toxic this substance is, some of them specifically pointing to causing digestive disorders, endocrine disruption, thyroid problems, and nutrient deficiencies.
You shouldn’t ingest any more than 20 grams per day, yet the inmates at this institution are being forced to choke down more than 5 times that amount.
The substance I’m talking about is called soy.
If you knew what was good for you, you’d stay as far away from soy as possible. But in the past decade or so, the propaganda machine has gotten a hold of it and turned it into the nation’s most beloved health food.
If you think the prison officials were feeding the convicts a predominantly soy diet because they’re concerned about their health, it’s time for a healthy dose of reality (and a good, rare steak). No, the inmates were forced to eat this non-food because it’s cheap.
Now, I’m all for saving money, but your dinner is not the place to pinch pennies. You might save a few bucks in the short term, but in the end, fueling your body with this type of junk will only lead to costly health problems that could leave you in the poor house down the road——and that’s a kind of prison no one wants to face.
Forking out the money for real meat pales in comparison to the medical bills you’ll face from years of choking down soy. Over the years, studies have linked soy proteins to heart disease, infertility, cancer, allergies, mental decline, digestive disorders, nutrient deficiencies, reduced immunity, and so much more.
What do you think the price tag is for just ONE of those diseases?
Here’s what I find most ironic: These inmates have no choice but to eat the food that’s in front of them. But how many people in society voluntarily put themselves through this prison-food diet every day? Just like the inmates, they develop numerous digestive disorders such as IBS, diarrhea, or constipation, yet either they don’t know (or won’t accept) that it’s caused by the very foods that they’ve been told will keep them healthy.
Here’s what to do:
SAY NO TO SOY. Those are four simple little words, but the truth is, it’s easier said than done. Soy has become one of the most ubiquitous substances on the planet. These days, it’s hard to find a food that doesn’t contain some sort of soy derivative… soy flour, soy oil, lecithin, soy protein isolates, textured vegetable protein. Even vegetable oils and margarine are made of soy. Manufacturers use it in everything from potato chips to canned tuna, to crackers and cereal as a cheap food additive.
But if you’re sticking to the perimeter of your grocery store——and buying real food based on animal protein and fat——avoiding soy shouldn’t be a problem.
