THE REAL CAUSE OF HEART ATTACK——
AND HOW TO STOP IT!

Every day, thousands of people are rushed to hospitals after a heart attack——and most of them have two things in common.

First is cholesterol.

No, their cholesterol isn’t “high.” Despite what you’ve heard, up to 75 percent of all heart attack victims have NORMAL cholesterol. Heck, many of them even have the ultra-low cholesterol levels that mainstream health officials consider to be “optimal.”

Low cholesterol is optimal… if you have a death wish.

The second thing they have in common is arterial calcification. These are the calcium deposits that lead to hardened arteries, and studies show that 95 percent of all heart attack victims have them.

Yet the latest research finds that more than a third of all patients on statins (cholesterol-lowering drugs) have NO CALCIFICATION AT ALL.

These are patients who’ve been told they have a high risk of a heart attack, entirely because of their (perfectly healthy) “high” cholesterol levels——and they’re pumped full of statin drugs and worry because of it. In reality, they’ve got zip to worry about, at least when it comes to the heart, because without those calcium deposits they’re almost guaranteed NOT to suffer a heart attack.

Meanwhile, 15 percent of Americans who’ve been told they’re perfectly healthy——Americans who hit every mainstream health target——actually have dangerously high levels of calcification, according to that same study.

They’re not worried at all. And when that inevitable heart attack strikes, supposedly out of the blue, they’re left wondering just what in the heck went wrong (assuming they even survive).

Well, it’s time to stop wondering and start taking action, because you CAN stop calcium from building up in your arteries and completely reverse calcification if it does strike.

FOUR STEPS TO BLOCK CALCIFICATION

Your own doctor might tell you that calcification is inevitable with age.

Bull. Calcification is only inevitable when you follow the modern diet, especially government health advice. The longer you follow it, the more your arteries will calcify (and it’s a wonder they don’t turn to stone).

Follow these steps, however, and calcium will go where it needs to instead of collecting in your arteries.

Step 1: Toss your statins!

That’s right… take ‘em and toss ‘em, because not only will lower cholesterol levels NOT prevent a heart attack, but the statins themselves can actually CAUSE arterial calcification.

One major study of 6,673 patients finds statins can increase the extent of calcified coronary plaques by 52 percent. Another finds diabetics in particular could suffer from calcification, especially in the carotid artery, while on statins. That’s one doozy of a side effect for a drug that’s supposed to prevent heart problems.

I realize this goes against everything you’ve heard from the mainstream. So if you want a little reassurance before ditching your statins, consider this: The very reason for their existence is a lie.

Despite what you’ve heard, you NEED cholesterol, even the LDL that the mainstream calls “bad” cholesterol. It’s essential for everything from your immune system to your memory, which is why multiple studies have shown that lower cholesterol levels will increase your risk of an early death.

Shoot for total cholesterol of between 200 and 300, and you’ll outlive anyone who tells you otherwise.

Step 2: Put fats back on the menu

Say it with me: Natural animal fats will NOT clog or harden your arteries. It’s just not so——and the omega-3 fatty acids in fish, grass-fed meats and fresh dairy will actually break up those dangerous deposits.

Yes, the very foods you’ve been told to avoid are actually essential to your arteries——so along with a diet rich in healthy and natural animal fats (and fatty fish), take cod liver oil or an omega-3 supplement daily.

Step 3: Drink more coffee

You’ve no doubt heard the killjoys chant about how coffee is a “bad” habit. They’re dead wrong. Coffee can fight cancer, protect the brain and prevent heart disease——and one major study finds regular coffee consumption will cut your risk of death from heart disease by a quarter.

Coffee works in a number of ways. It can raise your levels of HDL cholesterol, slash inflammation and prevent the platelet aggregation that leads to clots——and one study out of the coffee-crazy Netherlands finds that more than 3 cups of coffee per day will reduce calcification, especially in women.

Just be sure you put the right stuff in your coffee… and that brings us to:

Step 4: Skip the skim

One of the biggest crimes in nutrition is the pasteurization of milk——but coming in at a close second is the push to replace fresh whole milk with tasteless, watery skim. It’s a major cause for the rise in heart disease in modern times——right up there with the government advice to replace healthy animal fats with dangerous vegetable oils.

Low-fat milk and skim milk (sorry, I gag a little just writing those words) can lead to calcification and hardening of the arteries, according to animal tests. They will also cause calcification elsewhere in the body——in the joints, leading to arthritis, and in the pineal gland, leading to problems with hormone regulation, especially in women.

Drink only full-fat unpasteurized (aka “fresh” or “raw”) milk. The powers-that-be have made it difficult to get fresh milk, but it’s not impossible——even in places where it’s technically illegal. Do some homework and you should be able to find a source of raw milk near you.

I realize that for some of you this advice may be coming much too late. You’ve wasted years——maybe decades——dutifully guzzling pasteurized skim milk, avoiding animal fats, using margarine over butter and bringing your cholesterol down to “perfect” (i.e. heart attack) levels.

If you or your doctor suspects calcification, these two natural options can bust through buildups and restore your arteries to health quickly, painlessly and safely.

BUILDUP BUSTER # 1: Vitamin K

Your body has a natural defense against arterial calcification. It’s called matrix GLA protein, or MGP——but years of bad habits (aka “good” habits as defined by the mainstream) eventually cause so much calcification that your MGP can’t keep up.

But there is a way to give it a lift. Vitamin K2——found in meats, butter and cheese——can activate more MGP and reverse the damage. It’s so effective that a diet rich in K2 can prevent artery calcification.

One major study in the Journal of Nutrition finds that men with the highest intake of vitamin K2 have a 51 percent lower risk of death from a heart attack.

Yes, it’s that good——so good that even if your arteries are suffering from the damage of calcification, high doses of K2 can reverse it, often completely and in some cases within weeks.

By the way, if you’re on warfarin——aka Coumadin, aka rat poison——you’re almost certainly suffering from low vitamin K. The drug “works” by blocking it, putting you at risk for calcification even as it thins the blood.

The cod liver oil I mentioned earlier often makes a safe and effective substitute for warfarin, just be sure to work with your doctor before you go making any changes.

BUILDUP BUSTER #2: Chelation Therapy

Nothing will get a mainstream doctor howling in protest faster than a mention of chelation therapy. Ignore the howls and listen to the science: Decades of research show chelation can safely pull toxins out of the body, including metals from your brain and calcium from your arteries.

It’s so effective at breaking up calcium deposits in the arteries that a recent government-backed study (imagine that!) found this therapy will cut the risk of serious heart problems by 18 percent overall and by as much as 40 percent in diabetics.

Your doctor, of course, will claim that chelation is dangerous. While every treatment has risks, chelation is certainly far safer than medication or bypass surgery——and, done responsibly, the only real risk is boredom. Each session lasts for up to three hours, and you could need as many as 30 sessions.
